Murphy Innovation News
ISSUE 2 All the latest news from the Murphy Innovation Foundation
We are entering an exciting phase in the direction of our industry where we are increasingly focussing on innovation, digital and data to drive our business forward but it is important to use this disruptive technology to drive efficiency in our business rather than a shiny new toy to play with. We have achieved great things in a short space of time on our innovation journey and am very proud of the Innovation Foundation. It is however exactly that, a foundation to build on that can enable us to deliver our projects better. In order to do that we must harness our knowledge and that of our supply chain and make the most of the opportunity before us and this requires a collaborative effort in which everyone in Murphy can play a part in. This year we are focussing our innovation program around solving our client’s challenges as well as helping to foster innovation to drive productivity within Murphy. We are also structuring our Engineering Tomorrow Forum around 4 key initiatives which we will publish shortly that we believe will make a step change in how we deliver for our customers. We will be harnessing the brightest minds from our supply chain, universities and peers group to rise to these challenges which include both major players such as Microsoft as well as start-up tech companies. We will also be maximising the benefits of being a member of I3P which is a collaborative organisation from both competitors, peers and clients working together to drive our industry forward. I would like to thank all of our champions around the group for their efforts in the past year but also a rallying cry for everyone regardless of their role in the organisation to engage with the program to help us shape our future.
